Dear colleagues,
In the name of the organizing committee, I have the pleasure to invite you to
submit your work and to participate to the 5th Annual World Conference on the
Internet and Medicine, in November 2000.
The MEDNET 2000 conference aims at bringing together key developers,
researchers
ans users, with either medical or technological backgrounds (or both).
This series of conferences was initiated by the Society for the Internet in
Medicine
in 1996.
The first 3 MEDNET Conferences were held in the United Kingdom (Brighton and
London), the 4th was organized in Germany (Heidelberg).
This year's conference focuses on "real world" medical applications. Let us
find
an answer to the question: in which ways does medicine really benefit from
the
exploding Internet technology, beyond gadgetry and focusing explicitly on the
patients benefit. All points of view, both technical and medical are of
interest.
The conference will consist of tutorial and hands-on courses, keynote
speeches
and presentations of technical papers.
